Canton Township is located in Metro Detroit on the western edge of Wayne County, Michigan. Canton is one of the fastest growing communities in the State of Michigan. There are many reasons for the growth including the relatively low property tax rates, great location, and the many ammenities the community has to offer. Canton was established in 1834, covers 36 square miles and has a popluation just over 84,000.
